The Complex is delighted to support the inaugural Smithfield & Stoneybatter “Food In The City” festival which takes place this weekend October 9th to 11th. This historic part of town has long had a close association with the food and drink industry and the businesses of its burgeoning local eating and drinking scene have come together to present a programme that shows the best of the area. Attendees can walk its well-beaten paths from pub to restaurant to bar to cafe, building a festive atmosphere over the three nights. There will be tastings, special menus, banquets, booze-ups, brunches and more – ensuring that your taste buds are tantalised no matter what time of day you drop into the area. Events running include a vegetarian banquet in the newly opened Graze @ The Elbow Room, viking tapas in Lilliput Stores, oysters and stout at Dice Bar, whiskey tasting and masterclasses at the Old Jameson Distillary, a “Celebration of Joyce” banquet ot the James Joyce house of “The Dead”, gelato and coffee tastings at Third Space, craft beer and snack board at L Mulligan… and LOTS
