‘Her Eyes They Shone Like Diamonds’ devised by CYT in a collaborative transnational project with Junkshop Theatre Company, Nottingham, supported by Leargas, DCC and CDYSB.



Complex Youth Theatre works with young people in all arts disciplines to create new and original theatre. It provides a wide range of structures that encourage the personal and professional growth of its members through emancipatory workshops, development of the imagination and creative writing, with the emphasis on individual creativity and freedom of expression through performance. It aims to promote excellence in theatre practice and deliver a high quality process and outcomes. It offers an open selection process and is an equal opportunities employer.

There are currently 24 members of CYT aged between 14 and 19 years. They meet every Saturday for an introductory workshop in the morning and a more advanced drama workshop in the afternoon. The afternoon workshop works towards an annual performance piece in July. The workshops are based in The Complex, entrance at 14 Little Mary Street. Nearest Luas Jervis Street.
