The Complex has secured permission from the estate of Arthur Miller to produce his powerful play ‘Playing For Time’ in Dublin and Belfast in 2017.

This will be an Irish premiere for the piece, which is about an orchestra of female prisoners in Auschwitz concentration camp during the Second World War. The play is based on the autobiography of French chanteuse Fania Fénelon who was spared, along with a group of classical musicians, in return for performing music for their captors.

The play will be directed by The Complex Artistic Director Vanessa Fielding.
