ABOUT THE EVENT
Launch of Traveller Pride Week at The Complex Monday 3th of July from 4.30pm
The Traveller Arts Festival will mark the official launch of Traveller Pride Week and a
moment of celebration for Travellers and Traveller organisations across Ireland.
The event will be launched by Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and
Youth Roderic O’Gorman. Under this year’s theme ‘Celebration of Traveller
Changemakers’ it will celebrate Traveller culture in Ireland and feature live music from
Paddy Keenan, Trish Reilly, Selina O’ Leary and Susan Marie Wilde. As well as poetry and spoken word performances from Helen Hutchinson, and David Collins,
We invite you to an evening of celebration with efreshments.
The event is free for everyone to enjoy but booking is required. Please reserve your
tickets below.
The Traveller Pride Week has been held annually for more than 10 years with support
from the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth. It takes
place from 3rd to 14th July 2023. Throughout the Traveller Pride Week, national and
local events take place around the country celebrating and promoting Travellers’
contribution to every aspect of Irish life including arts, education, culture, community
work, youth work, employment of enterprise, drama, sport, and music.

The Traveller Pride Steering Committee comprised of Involve, the Irish Traveller
Movement, the National Traveller Women's Forum, Pavee Point Traveller and Roma
Centre, Parish Of The Travelling People, Exchange House Ireland, and Minceirs
Whiden.
This event is kindly funded by the Department of Children, Equality, Disability,
Integration and Youth.
