Norwegian jazz sensation Liv Andrea Hauge brings a fresh and captivating energy to the scene with her piano trio, fusing the thrill of free improvisation with graceful, melodic compositions. Already making waves across Europe, Hauge’s trio—featuring Georgia Wartel Collins on double bass and August Glännestrand on drums—crafts evocative melodies and expansive, ever-shifting soundscapes that reflect the spirit of their Scandinavian roots.

The trio has also been selected for the Footprints Europe program, and their second album, Ville Blomster, is out now on Hubro Records. Liv’s compositions explore groove, simple, singable motifs, and intricate interplay, with a mix of playful energy and poignant melancholy. The music always leaves space for improvisation, offering a sound that is both expansive and intimate. Hauge has recently been commissioned to write a major new work for trio, three vocalists, and full orchestra for the opening of Bodø24, European Capital of Culture.
