After a summer of castings, costume choices, and stage designs, the cast and crew of the Irish premiere of 'On the Waterfront' met on a rainy Monday morning in The Digital Hub in the heart of the Liberties for their first day of rehearsals.
The ensemble cast is made up of ten talented performers including: Michael Collins, Lloyd Cooney, Eoin Geoghagan, Luke Griffin, Darren Mone, Will O'Connell, David O'Meara, Mark O'Regan, Shane O'Regan and Anne O'Riordan. This was the company's first opportunity to meet, get into character, and, most importantly get to the read-through.
Over the next few weeks, the cast will delve deeper into Bud Schulberg and Stan Silverman's epic tale of injustice, corruption and the fight to maintain one's integrity, under the direction of Vanessa Fielding.
The show promises to be a transformative experience for theatre-goers, heightened by the immersive set design by Tanad Aaron which will include a recreation of the New York Docks.
If you haven't booked your tickets already, get on it before they sell out! Tickets and more information on the show are available here.
'On the Waterfront' will run from the 1-16 November at The Complex with previews on the 30th & 31st of October.
