The Complex is thrilled to announce Diana Bamimeke as the latest writer for the Mirror Lamp Press x The Complex writer-in-residence programme for March-July. It is aimed at early-career visual arts writers based in Ireland. The programme is designed to help writers develop their practice by inviting them to produce up to five new responses to the exhibitions and events programmed here at The Complex.

Diana Bamimeke is a curator, writer and transdisciplinary artist from Dublin via Nigeria, primarily interested in curating and creating socially engaged art.
Their first piece as part of the programme is in response to Alison Pilkington's Mudlarking. You can take a look back at that exhibition here. The response is called 'Looking Well - A Dub’s Reward' and explores the perspective of those raking for survival in the city.
You can read Bamimeke 's bio and read/listen to their full response on the Mirror Lamp Press blog here.
